Claremmon, CA – Clarendon Police have arrested a Claremont football player who was arrested for DUI and other charges after a crash on Interstate 5.
According to Claremont Police, the Claremont High School football player was driving his truck on I-5 near the Claremore Bridge on Tuesday when he collided with a Ford F-150.
Police say that while the driver was being assisted by a member of the public, the other driver of the truck was hit by a semi-truck.
Claremont High Student Dwayne Williams was arrested at the scene of the crash.
Williams was arrested on suspicion of DUI, failure to remain at the center of the intersection of I-205 and Highway 101, driving under the influence of alcohol, failure of a safe and effective method of transportation, driving without a valid driver’s license, and driving while disqualified.
Williams is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
