Two boys have been killed in a bus crash in India as their families and friends paid their respects at a spot of worship in the capital, New Delhi.
The crash took place at a bus stop in New Rajasthan state, according to local media reports.
The two-year-old boy died at the scene and his mother was seriously injured, local police said.
Two other children were seriously injured in the crash and were rushed to hospital in nearby Rajasthani.
Police said they are investigating the incident as an accident.
Authorities are also investigating whether the incident could have been caused by drunk drivers.
The National Disaster Management Authority has sent a team to the spot of the crash to help with the investigation, according the Indian Express.
India is a very religious country and worshippers of all religions often pray in public places to mark the holy month of Ramzan, which marks the end of the year.
India has witnessed numerous attacks on religious sites and the country has witnessed some of the highest levels of violence in recent years, according a report by the UN’s Human Rights Council in December 2016.
