Posted November 07, 2018 07:05:58 Australia’s largest Muslim organisation, the Islamic Society of North Australia, has released a statement on the deaths of two Australians in Syria.
The Islamic Society is asking that anyone with information about these two individuals to contact them immediately.” “
We are very concerned about the ongoing threat of Daesh in Australia, and as such have been working with local community leaders to raise awareness and support for those who are currently in harm’s way.
The Islamic Society is asking that anyone with information about these two individuals to contact them immediately.”
The statement also calls for those concerned to contact the Australian Federal Police or the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation.
It was not immediately clear why these Australians were killed, but the Islamic Foundation of Australia has previously been linked to IS.
According to its website, the Australian Islamic Trust is an umbrella organisation for Muslims in Australia.
In a statement released on the foundation’s Facebook page this week, it called on Muslims to stay vigilant, and to be vigilant.
“[We] strongly encourage all Australians to remain vigilant and remain vigilant,” the statement said.
Asylum seekers and refugees in Australia have reported experiencing a significant increase in violence in recent months.
Last month, two Australian teenagers were killed in a shooting at a Melbourne mosque, after police found the two deceased inside the mosque.
A 19-year-old woman was also shot and killed at the same mosque.
